Is your defective Apple MacBook Bottom Case rubber coming off? Have you heard of the MacBook Bottom Case Replacement Program? I am aware of Apple Macbook owners who complained of rubber surface separating from the bottom case of Macbook! Well Apple launched the MacBook Bottom Case Replacement Program for such customers only.
If your Macbook rubber cover just fell off the Macbook bottom case and you blamed yourself, think again, as Apple will replace the bottom case of any affected MacBook, free of charge! However, remember it affects MacBooks shipped between October 2009 and April 2011 only.
How to order?
Visit an Apple Retail Store, Apple Authorized Service Provider or order a replacement bottom case kit online. I like the online order form which will deliver a self service kit with a new bottom case, screws, a Phillips head screwdriver, and instructions to remove the current bottom case and replace with a new one. However, the online option is available only for a few countries.
Is your Macbook elligible?
MacBooks shipped between October 2009 and April 2011 are only eligible. The offer is only open for MacBooks for two years from original purchase date.
Did you pay for the repair?
If you have already paid to get the defective rubber cover, then contact Apple and they promise to refund you any charges you may have spent for this issue if your Macbook is eligible.
